The Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM) Colloquium brings together MFM specialists and Fellows from across Australia and New Zealand for a dynamic forum focused on advancing contemporary practice. Designed as a collaborative and trainee‑centred meeting, the Colloquium provides a platform to share expertise, discuss workforce issues and strengthen networks within the MFM community. With a strong emphasis on training and professional development, details of the program will follow.
ANZPN Workshop

The Australian/Aotearoa New Zealand Preeclampsia Research Network (ANZPN) invites interested clinicians, researchers and consumers to a half‑day meeting on Thursday 15 October 2026, held immediately prior to the SOMANZ meeting. In keeping with ANZPN’s focus on bringing together scientists and clinician–researchers, the programme will include exciting presentations focused on the latest in fundamental research and clinical practice/implementation research related to preeclampsia. Join us for dinner after the meeting for excellent networking and collaboration opportunities. Stay tuned for final program!
HOW SATELLITE ½ DAY SYMPOSIUM
The Haematology in Obstetrics and Women’s Health (HOW) collaborative is delighted to be hosting a half-day symposium aimed at health professionals interested in haematological concerns within maternity care. This satellite event will complement other engaging subjects featured in the main HOW session at SOMANZ this year. The presentations will cover:
Heavy Menstrual Bleeding and Pre-Pregnancy Optimisation
Clinical Conundrums: Cases of Pregnant Women with “Bleeding Disorders”
Antithrombin Deficiency During Pregnancy
Superficial Thrombosis and Varicose Veins in Pregnancy
