Dr Mere Nabou

Dr Mere Nabou is a senior registrar in Obstetrics and Gynecology at CWM Hospital, Fiji, with close to a decade of frontline experience in maternal health. She currently serves as a Principal Medical Officer in the O&G Department, where she leads clinical governance, drives systemic risk reduction, and mentors the next generation of clinicians.

Her work has had a significant impact on maternal and perinatal outcomes in Fiji through initiatives such as emergency obstetric care training, maternal death surveillance, and advanced life support in obstetrics. She has represented Fiji at regional symposia, helped in facilitating national workshops, and contributed to strengthening evidence-based practice across Fiji.

Dr Nabou is completing her Master of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Fiji National University and is committed to advancing maternal-fetal medicine in the Pacific region. She is an active member of the Fiji Medical Association and the RANZCOG Pacific Affiliate program, championing equitable access to quality maternal care.
