Dr Lisa Dawes is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Subspecialist and Obstetrician at National Women’s Health in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand and a Senior Lecturer at the Liggins Institute at the University of Auckland. She is passionate about achieving equitable improvements in perinatal outcomes with a particular focus on preterm birth and antenatal interventions that improve healthy survival. Lisa joined the SOMANZ Board in early 2026 and enjoys representing Aotearoa New Zealand and obstetrics.
