Dr Claire Muller

Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital

Dr Claire Muller is a Neurologist and Stroke Specialist. She has worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) since 2010. The last 15 years have been punctuated by rural, regional, and interstate experience throughout her physician and neurology training, including a 2016 Stroke Fellowship in Melbourne’s Box Hill Hospital.

She has served in official roles in stroke organisations at the state and national levels, including  3 years on the national Stroke Foundation Clinical Council.  She has served as a neurologist representative on the expert steering group for the update of the Australian Guidelines for Assessing and Managing Cardiovascular Disease Risk (launched in July 2023, Parliament House Canberra with the Federal Minister for Health). 

Dr Muller is actively involved in research as an Associate Investigator for numerous Australian investigator-led and international trials and is currently the Australian lead principal investigator for a world-first international trial of a novel treatment for Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA).

Between 2020 and 2023, she ran a successful private practice in Neurology (Neurology Westside) which was put on hold to serve as the Clinical Director of the Queensland Telestroke Service between 2023 and 2026.
