Dr Anastasia Braun

Dr Anastasia Braun MBBS (Hons), FRANZCP, Cert Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists with additional advanced training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She is Lead Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist for Metro North Health and a Perinatal Consultant Psychiatrist with the Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. Her diverse clinical background includes general practice, surgical assisting, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and perinatal psychiatry, providing a unique perspective on the interaction between physical and mental health in pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Dr Braun’s clinical and academic interests include various aspects of perinatal mental health, eating disorders, obesity, and bariatric/metabolic psychiatry. She has contributed to multiple clinical guidelines and publications in these areas, holds leadership roles within state and national perinatal psychiatry committees, and founded a specialist peer-review group focused on the psychiatric aspects of bariatric and metabolic surgery. She is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and professional education.
